Caryl Andrea Oberman
Ms. Oberman is the principal of the law firm that bears her name. For more than three decades, her practice has concentrated on the legal needs of persons with disabilities and their families, and of gifted students. She has lectured and published extensively in the areas of civil rights, education rights, and estate planning, especially for families of children with disabilities. Formerly director of the Legal Department of Philadelphia Association of Retarded Citizens, staff attorney at the Education Law Center and litigation consultant at the Disabilities Law Project, she has served on the boards of numerous agencies advocating for children and adults with disabilities and serves as a hearing officer for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. Ms. Oberman has served as an adjunct professor of School Law in the graduate education programs of Arcadia University, Holy Family University, Cabrini College and Antioch University. She received her B.A. with Honors in Political Philosophy from Syracuse University in 1971 and her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1974. Her firm serves families in the eastern half of Pennsylvania, with offices in Willow Grove (Montgomery County).

Stephanie B. Carpenter
Ms. Carpenter has been an associate at The Law Offices of Caryl Andrea Oberman since November 2007. Prior to joining Ms. Oberman’s firm, she was an associate corporate counsel at Expeditors International of Washington, Inc., a global logistics company, and InfoSpace, Inc., where her practice concentrated on contracts, intellectual property and general business matters. She received her B.S. in Accounting and Business Logistics from the Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and her J.D. from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University in 2000.
Maureen Stankiewicz
Mrs. Stankiewicz is a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy College and received her paralegal certificate from Penn State University. Mrs. Stankiewicz joined The Law Offices of Caryl Andrea Oberman, in June of 2001, and performs various duties as a Paralegal, Parent Advocate and Billing Administrator. Mrs. Stankiewicz has over 13 years of legal environment experience including positions as a Legal Assistant and Legal Secretary in law firms with a focus in Education, Real Estate and Social Security Disability. Mrs. Stankiewicz’s background also includes experience working as a Certified Medical Transcriptionist in a hospital setting and as the principal of a medical transcription business. Mrs. Stankiewicz is a member of the Montgomery County Paralegal Association and has served on various school and community committees.
